Digital ID and blockchain

There is no doubt that personal identification is an important part of our normal life today. Education, travelling, financial issues, medical care — all that would be impossible without being properly identified. Our personal data is a key to multiple opportunities, choices and different future developments.

That’s why it comes as no surprise that personal identification evolves, and produces new forms and procedures. Filing of paper forms becomes less and less common opening the way for new more technologically advanced processes. Thanks to digital ID, people can verify their personality faster and share their data easier, yet with proper security. How? That’s where another technological achievement steps in, blockchain.

Every block in blockchain has its own unique digital fingerprint, aka hash. As soon as files get into the block, they can’t be changed as cryptographic hashing functions won’t let this happen. Thus, data remains safe and protected, and can’t be provided to any third party.

That is why we, WDIA, have expressed our support of the Multipass technology that is based on the best and most recent cryptography achievements. This technology brings a new level of digital freedom making our future more comfortable and increasing all sorts of user accessibilities.
